💙Wore (Casual) Lolita💙 Snowy Day

Hi!
I just realised it has been a few months since I last posted any lolita coord. It´s not because of lack of trying - I just really suck at taking outfit pics, as you´ll see very soon.
It started snowing yesterday, at least in Czechia. As I learned from my Slovak friends, they had a SNOW CALAMITY. I think one of them had even lost electricity because of it?

Luckily, it´s not as bad here, just mildly uncomfortable. Olomouc is blessed with old coble stone streets, which may look pretty as hell, but it gets very slippery in winter. I guess I will have to continue living in my combat boots until it gets hotter :D.

Also, while I spent yesterday playing DnD with my friends, far away from the city center, most of the population went to Advent Markets. They had just oficially started with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Our markets are quite famous, so I can imagine it was rather tight in here. I walked around it on my way from DnD session, it felt like the entire city went there.
On the other side, as cheesy as it is, I´m getting into the festive spirit. My mom looooves Christmas and me and my sister got that from her. And Advent actually starts by the end of this week soooo...
Let´s pretend like I´m not way too early :D.

I put on this coord before my first morning seminar (seminars from 8AM should be illegal (╥_╥) ) but later updated accessories. I decided to be rather casual - I got this set of cups and teapot for Christmas two years ago. I mixed it with my VW mini orb, as I´m meeting with friend who loves it later today :D. I hope this will cheer him up a little bit, he already missed his train this morning so I can imagine he won´t feel as cheerful as me.
In my hair, I have only a big velveteen bow.

While doing my best in meeting casual lolita requirements I may have crossed into otome category. Either way, this outfit is very cosy so I remain happy.

I have the most amazing antique/lolita coat, however, I did not manage to photograph it very well. maybe some other day!

Also, I was finally able to pick up this velveteen bolero I got from vinted. It´s so pretty, I can´t wait to wear it.

I just came back from my thesis consultation. I´m much cleared on both theoretical and practiocal part of it. Even though it´s about Czech actress Adina Mandlova, more precisely her medial portrait in age of First Republic (1932 - 1938) I will get to write a lot about culture, journalist landscape and womanhood too, which is something I´m rather excited for.
I really like her, she was very interesting woman. And very stylish, I almost went as her for Halloween :D.

This is her in Kristián, one of my favourite comedies. It´s a drawing-room comedy in true sense, everyone is either blase or a total screwball :D. What I like about Czechoslovak comedies of the time is that they allowed women to be totally crazy. General vibe of bohemistic comfortability is also nice, this was the last time Czechs were free and happy for next few decades. (Well, not in Kristián, we were already occupied by nazis at the time...)

Did you guys put up a Christmas tree yet, or is it just my work that already evokes a Christmas spirit? :D
See you soon!
Bye!

What´s up? (school, Halloween, Scream, etc.)

Hi!

I have been too caught up in my everyday life. Honestly, it has been exhausting, but also rewarding and strangely really fun :D.
The first film with an actual, diegetic, sound I have ever worked on is premiering next week. I sent our posters to a copy centrum and it was such a strange feeling to see my name on it. I feel like an actual producer now. I feel like my degree is worth something :D.

Jokes aside, my degree is making me very nervous. I should finish next semester, but I don´t feel prepared. Partly because I don´t feel like I did a lot work on my final thesis. Hopefully I will feel better after next week, I will have my second consultation by then.
In order to be "let" to graduate next semester, I have to come up with structure, methodology, write at least 10 standart pages and have at least two consultations. That means I´m like 1/3 through and I still ddin´t write shit.
It´s difficult trying to stay motivated, as we´re the last class to have mandatory thesis. That´s right, kids next year are getting just an essay and oral exams :D.
I can´t believe I actually want to continue for at least another two years.

I hosted Rocky Horror Picture Show screening last month. I dressed up as Magenta, sadly I don´t have any better photos. You know I´m smashed here - this is my drunk pose.
Only me and one other friend, Tom, have seen it before. As you may now, you can´t give alcohol and snack to group of... 13? 15? 20somethings and expect them to behave, so by the end of the movie we were atill the only ones with any idea of what´s going on. Still, I think that everyone had a blast.
We even managed to do a dance along, at least for Time Warp :D. There wasn´t much space for anything else.

This Halloween  I went as Gerard Way. Naturally. The only good photo I managed to get was with Klaus, who I managed to meet totally randomly. The person behind the costume was friend of an acquaintance who had no idea who is the author of Umbrella Academy :D.
I went as Gerard thrice, but for last two parties I couldn´t. I got sick of the costume after three nights (and mornings) in a row, so for my fourth and fifth parties I got cheap horns and went as a devil. I spent way too much time on the make up, I have no idea how Gerard managed to do this so regurarly :D.

The last party was my favourite, it was in Variace and and there was karaoke. I had a time of my life and I finally managed to make someone sing Scotty Doesn´t Know with me. Other than that, I will never not love Tak mÄ›ls mÄ› vůbec rád, Czech (and superior) version of Teenage Superstar. For someone who can´t sing I think I nailed it pretty well in the club.

I feel like I lived this Halloween to the fullest. I listened to The Cure a lot, watched some spooky movies and I even managed to read about funerals and death for my archeology class. I wish I managed to bake something good, but I didn´t get to spend too much time in kitched for past few months.
Also, I´m producing a theatre version of Scream. I´m not sure if I mentioned it before. Not only am I producing and playing in it, I also presented it for our faculty´s grant board. I got a mail yesterday, we are getting the money :D. I´m so happy. I´m doing my best to do a lot of activities this year - it´s my last one and I know too well that just academics aren´t getting me into grad school nor career.
I joined a lot of clubs and activities before too, but just now it´s starting to feel real and important.

Today, I picked up my sister from her university class in Ostrava and we went shopping. I decided to snap some pictures so you can get an idea of my day to day style. I hate taking pictures, both because of my terribly family curse (being unphotogenic) and because of the logistics. I don´t really have a great mirror nor camera nearby. Still, I tried.
First, this very overexposed bag I crocheted earlier this year. It has stars and moon on it, sadly I couldn´t get a good photo without the light on. The owl is made by my mom, I think it fits the vibe rather well.

And here I´m, trying to take photos at our clamped flat. I got home after 3 weeks, finally :D. For some reason, all of my shifts are during weekends this month. We had national holiday this Monday and after that I decided to take a break.
I don´t have to go hard these days - this coats makes most of the work for me :D. I like pairing it with my crocheted scarf. It has glitters and a dragon in it, I will take better photos next time. Usually, I wear black short dress/skirt/shorts and shitton of accessories with it.

Older photo from my apartment. Still not sure how I feel about the hair, but I liked my make-up here a lot.

I really did need a break - I had a very busy week that contained my first public performance (I was reading a part of alcoholic mother in a scenic reading :D) and concert of The Rasmus. I was sent there by magazine I for sometimes, but I think I´ll write a review here too. And maybeee The Offspring review, too :D.

Also, Olomouc has been looking rather mysterious lately. There´s a lot of mist during mornings, so I snapped these picture during my walk from work few days ago. I wasn´r really made for nightschifts to be honest, but luckily, there´s only 8 more of them to the end of this year.

I hope you had a nice Halloween and first half of November too :D.

Bye!
See you soon!
